CROWN PRINCESS.
The chamber for the No. 5 or bottom level is now finished, and the same contractors now start driving north and south of the Bhaft immediately. In the north drive the No. 2 lode will soon be to hand, and in the south the specimen lode will be the first one intersected. Bice, Graham and party made a start at working their block in the New Exchange section jest3rday. They have 150 feet on the course of the No. 1 at No. 3 level. It is expected to turn out well. The manager informs me that the company has decided to lay a train way through all the workings in the New Exchange section at No. 2 level, as all the old rails are rotten It is intended to let part of the section on tribute, and the company will also do some prospecting. The tributes should soon be let. v There are about 40 men now working in this mine, and it is expected there will shortly be 20 or 25 more employed.
