The tunnel cross-crt is. to be suspended ; the boundary is near pnd the country is hard. Nothing fresh has transpired at the mine since the writing of the mine manager's report given below: —"150 feet level.—No. 9 reef is now assuming a more westerly coarse, and is 3 feet thick, but broten by water courses. Good progress is being made in extension of south cross-cut. The stopes between two slides have been poor during the last few days through reef being heaved into footwitll. The winze sunlr on these stopes is now producing better grade stuff, and proves to be tho same reef as worked above. 80 feet Jevel.—A rise is being put up on No. 2 reef to communicate with tunnel level and give facilities for stophg. There is a large section of this reef yet to work out, which will give profitable results. The stopes throughout tho mine are improving, and the staff is showing up, for a profitable rctuvn. Tunnel level, south cross cut—The ro-k still continues hard, and in a c!ay or ivro shell suspend driving operations i: this direction, as we e.o near bor adary; eight feet have been driven during,past week. The machinery is 1. iig "d working order. EOET. COMEB."
