The Rev. D. Dutton, F.E.A.S., will preach in the Wesleyan Church, Shortland, to-morrow morning, and in Grahamstown Church tomorrow evening.

Wright, of Timaru, and formerly of the Thames. The suite is in crimson velvet, and the carving and workmanship in the wood is executed in a most artistic manner. We have seldom seen anything to equal the articles on view at Mr Dann's.

The quarterly communication of the Masonic Provincial Grand Lodge of. New Zealand, North Island, Scottish Constitution, was held on Thursday evening, at the Masonic Hotel, Princess street. There were present .Brother F. Whitaker, P.G.M, who presided: Brothers W. Anderson, P.G.S.M.; W. McCullough, P.D.P.G.M.; A.Brodie, P.G.S.W.; A. Dewar. P.G.J.W.; W. Errington, P.G. Architect; E. E. Tyler, P.G. Secretary ; T. L. Murray, P.G. Treasurer ; Captain Fraser, P.G. Director of Ceremonies; Captain Goldsmith, P.G. Sword-bearer; Ellison, P.G.J.D. ;-Thomas Kawdon, P.G. Tyler; W.C. Walker, W.M. St. Andrew's; and a number of other visitors and representatives of the various lodges and constitutions. The" principal business of the meeting was to receive the report of the committee appointed to draft and prepare by-laws for the Provincial Grand Lodge. These after the minu(e3 were read, were adopted after some amendations. The Rev. J Hill at the request of the P.G. Master, resigned his position of P.G. Chaplain on account of his removal to the South Island, and Bro. Whitaker announced that he had appointed Brother the Key. Mr Gould, of Otahuhu, to that office. A number of routine matters were discussed, and the meeting was brought to a close in the usual form.
