After referring to various measures of la-fc session, afd, the course he adopted, Mr Brown said the course adopted by the House regarding 1 the land fund was wise, but the Government had not since kept faith with Canterbury. He decidedly opposed/manhood suffrage, which would be a great mistake; ri fact, almost a crime. He opposed a land tax.
