Melbojtene, July 9. Parliament was opened to-day. The Governor's speech promises constitutional reform. The following bills were introduced :—The Railway Extension Bill; Purchase of the Hobson's Bay Railway loun Bill; a?ao Railway, Water, and Public Works Ellis. There was some discussion, and the'address in the Council will be moved to-morrow. In the Assembly Mr Pearson, in a conciliatory speech, moved the reply to the address, which was seconded by Mr Mason. The debate was adjourned till to-morrc w.
