In the Whau level, west drive, 901bs of of fair specimens have been obtained from the leading stope- since retorting took place, and more may be expected from the ' same place. There are indications in the Dixon's low level cross-cut that the Sons of Freedom- lode is not far off; bat the country is tight,,which makes progress slow. The reef in Dixon's drive if looking well.
