COUNTY COUNCIL.
The usual monthly meeting of the Thames County Council was held at the Council Chambers this afternoon, Present —Crs Brodie (Chairman), Mitchell, Thorp, Thorburn and Spencer. MINUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. (The following reports were submitted and considered. The remainder of our report of the proceedings is excluded.) PUMPING ABBANGEM2NTS COMMITTEE'S BEPOBT. 'The report of this committee was as fallows : " Your Committee have the honor to report that in obedience to a resolution of the Council an offer was made to the U.P.A. for the directors to purchase the redemption of the £50,000 securities, but as no reply has been received from them, your committee recommend your Chairman be authorised to forthwith offer them for sale, and that notification to that effect be made in the New Zealand and Australian newspapers.
