CURE.

Driving and sloping on Giimour's leader are still in progress, and goodstone comes 'frequently to hand.- The face of the drive is now about thirty feet from the Waiolahi boundary, but as yet there are no indications of the slide. There is a largeextent of this leader unworked and unprospected, so that there is a promise of good yields from the lode, for some time to come. The last crashing will enable the company to place about.£Boo to its credit or pay a dividend of about 2s per share. It is unlikely the latier will be done, however, and, indeed, I am informed that the directors have wisely- decided to devote the money to the further development of the claim. The manager has started men ■cleaning out a drive at the No. 2 level on the cross leader on which he shortly intends to begin driving operations. *" This lode is about one foot thick, and has had little or no work done on it. It is intended to drive on it till it is near the No. 6 lode and tl.3n cross-cut and intersect the hitter, which has had no work .done on,it at the JNo. 2 level. When the lied Quefen boundary is reached, there will nut be far to go to reach Giimour's leader. Driving on the hanging-wall of No. 2, continues. The drivewill aUo prospect the No. 1 lode, which has never before been worked in this part of the mine. The stone now coming to hand is not bad i looking, but does not show much gold. The stone, is extremely hard, which makes progress slosr. G'.lmour and party's crushing of 28 tons at the Prince, Alfred mill will be finished to-night or to-morrow for a good yield. The tributers are now working over where the compauy has been getting the gold, and there are good prospects of the deposit extending upwards.' Scott Hunter and party will be crushing towards .the latter end of this week, and expect a fair return. They are still working on the small quartz stringer.
