This day.

The Attorney-General's opinion is in favor of the position taken tip by the Education Board, and that that body has the power of refusing to appoint teachers recommended by the scftool committee. A meeting of trades delegates was hold last evening for the purpose of deciding what action should be taken in the present election for the city. There being but a poor attendance, those present decided to let the matter drop. It was afterwards proposed, and unanimously carried, that a committee should be immediately formed for the purpose of drawing up a programme with the view of the formation of a Traces Political As"obiation, such committee to report to a meeting of delegates.
