64 coursing licenses and 163 shooting' licenses have been taken oat here this season. It is expected, pheasant shooting will have to be temporarily stopped next year. . John Bishop Hunter, brought back from Melbourne for embezzling moneys belonging to the Government while in their employ ps surveyor, has beeu commuted for trial.
