PRINCE IMPERIAL.

The sinking of the winze on the Mariners' reef at the .No. 2 level has been temporarily suspended in consequence of a stope being carried along over the drive. The qrartz taken from this stope does not look so well as that from the winza. The gas is out of tbe two winzes at the bottom level, and work there is in pro* gross. The quartz from tho stopes apparently retains its average value, and a good quantity is coining to hand. There are, now about 40 loads in the paddock at the mine, and it is expected crushing will be commenced shortly.'
