Thursday.
An elderly man named Hunt, a carpenter, attempted to blow out his brains on the Stuart street Jetty this afternoon by putting a small bag of powder to his mouth and applying a match. His mouth was much shattered.

The questions of the dock and railway, and city improvements, are to be considered by a conference consisting of a committee of the board of representatives of the <'ity Council and the AttorneyGeneral.
Mr Pyka addressed his constituents at Alexandra last night, and received a unanimous vote of confidence.
