THE SMOKING-IN-THEATRE NUISANCE.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sib, —I wish through the rays of your, brightlittle luminary tocall the attention of Mr De Lias to a practice which prevails more or less in the theatre on the Thames, and in my opinion, is very injurious to his interest. It is that of persons smoking. The effect of this practice is, that it deters many ladies from going to see a good performance—aye, nnd men too. I therefore hope his best efforts will not be wanting in inducing persons not to smoke while at the theatre. Trusting that these few're* mai'ks will have the effect of, at least, lessening the evil.—l am, &c, ' ■ AGbbat Smokbb.
