The Hon. the Native Miuister arrived yesterday afternoon in the Government steamer Hinemoa off the Maketu bar, but as the bar was too bud for entering the H;uemoa remains here. Mr Sheehan and party proceeded overland to Maketu yesterday evening. k
A heavy thunderstorm was experienced about 4 o'clock this morning, with Hghtning and perfect torrents of rain.
