Judge Haivey, r.f the 'Goldfislds District

will be required to sit also at Invercnrgill; and District Judge Bathgale, of Dunedin", will be required' to sit at Milton and Palmerston. Mr Woolcombe, Resident Magistrate of Timaru, retires- on a pension. Mr Mellish, Besident Magistrate of ChriSkChurch, will be transferred to Timaru., Mr Bichmond Beetham,' Besident Magistrate of Napier, will succeed Mr Mellish as Besident Magistrate at Christchurch. Mr Mansford, Besident Magistrate of Port Chalmers, will, on;the 29th, relieve Mr J. C. Crawford, Besident Magistrate of this city, r. ho retires on a pension. Mr Mansford will also be District Judge for Wellington and Wairarapa. Mr Isaac Newton Watt, Besident Magistrate of Duntdin, will take cliarge of the Port Chalmers Court. No one is yet appointed to succeed Mr Beetham of Napier, but as a District Court is to be established ihere, a professional man will ,be apppintj?d. lo preside in both. Mr Henry Blundoil, senior, lat3 proprietor and founder of the Evening Post, died after, a short illness, aged 65.
