CHRISTCHURCH.
This day. A large house in Hereford street, belonging to a man netted Bogeri,
formerly used as a boarding house, was destroyed by fire last night. Origia unknown. Kogors sdys that none of his -family were in the house after ten a.m. Insurances—building, £1050 in the South British, Standard and New Zealand; furniture, £485 in the Phoenix.
The City Council last night declined to lake charge of the Charitable Aid as requested by the Government.
