WATCHMAN.
Retorting has been postponed till tomorrow or Wednesday. During the past few days the tributers have been sending poor stuff down the tram, in cod sequence of a mistake made, they having followed a large mullocky vein, which junctions with the main lode instead of the main reef. They are on the right lay again, however, and the last breaking down gave several splendid specimens, showing both fine and coarse gold. Their low level is expected to intersect the reef shortly now, and as their block is about 250 feet on the course of the reef, the section promises some ; months of remunerative work. •* ;
