ALBURNIA.
The crushing of the general stuff will not be fairly commenced again, till tonight. The trial parcel ot 20 tons from the tunnel is now running through the stampers. There is not much of a show on the plates, but I may mention that the place from whence the parcel was derived is hundreds of feet from under the point which is generally esteemed the gold bearing belt of the Sons of Freedom lode in the Alburnia. The winze connectipg the Whau level with Dixon's lowlevel tunnel is making good progress, and the men working in one place can hear the others working. However, it will be three weeks or a month before connection is made, and then it will take some time to timber up. In the other parts of the mine there is but little change to mention.'
