Government Notices NOTICE OF PETITION-CERTAIN LAND TO BE 713DED TO THE BOROUGH OF TKAMRI, AND TO FORM A SEPARATE WiRD. I Colonial Secretary's Office, ! Welliogton, 27th May, 1878. HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that, unless within two J months rfter the publication of Uvs notice a : petition is presented to His Excellency signed 1 by not less than onetWrd of the burgesses of the Boroi^h of Thames, or a petition signei by not 1 ss than one-third of the resident householders in certain land adjoining the eaid borough, praying that snch land may not be incorporated into the said borough, His Excellency will, by Proclamation, incorporate into the said borough the said land, and declare 4 tho land so incorporated to be a separate ward of the aforesaid Borough of Thames. The boundaries of the districts proposed to be incorporated are as follows :— AU that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland commencing at the confluence of the Hape Stream with the Kauaerangaßiver; thence along the Hape Stream to the nortbe.a Boundary of the Shortland Township Reserve; thence easterly along sa«.d northern boundav/ to the north-eastern bounj dary of the Native Reserve j thence along north-eastern boundaiy of Native Reserve aforesrid to the Church Mission land ; thence along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of the Church Mission land aforesaid to the Waikiakia Creek; thence southerly down said creek to the Gold Fields boundary line ; thence along »aid Gold Fields boundary line to the Kauaeranga River aforesaid; thence southerly and westerly by se'd Kauaeranga River aforesaid to the mouth of the Haps Stream, the place of commencement.
