The Signatory Powers are unprepared with the details of pending negotiations, but the prospectg expected from the European Congress are materi'My improved.

London papers are sanguine that the peace Congress w?'l meet on the 11th of June.
It is substantially confirmed that Prince Bismarck will preside, and Earl Salisbury, Counts SchouWoff and Andrassy will attend.
The nayr 1 preparations at Chatham have been relaxed.
There is sharp continuous fighting in South Africa. The British generally are successful.
