A RECREATION GROUND.
(To the Boroi gh Ceunc' Wa, Boroujh of Tbaoj«Bj por favor of the Editor of the Evening btr.) ,
Gentlemen,—As you are about to sett'ewhicK place is most suitable for recrpation grounr's, I would suggest that tLe stewards of the last Trames rrces, •' gether with eny oihec old sports, all to be disinterest'd persons, be asked Io express their opinion on the matter. As the Tbja^nes community are a sporting population, and as most of_tbem -pb.'.»ess gardens "of; txeir \ owni" what we most requ're is,, a recreation ground for athletic sports, races, &c. As tbe racing committee seems to have given great satisfaction both to natives and p keha, at the last meeting, I do not see what beiier people we have (o report on the av^ai 'able grounds. Trusting you will take a favorable view of tb^s suggestion, I am, &c,
Athlete.
