Schofield and party have finished a crushing of between 20 and 30 loads of stuff at the Queen of Beauty battery for the yield of 286zs gold.
QUEEN OF BEAUTY, The water has been baled oat ot the shaft, and the sludge at the bottom cleared out. Timbering up the old chamber is now in progress, and a start at sinking the shaft the 35 feet that divides it from the low level cross-cut from the Piako No. 8: level will be commonc* d immediately. The reef in the Queen of the May section is looking first-rate, and good payable stuff being stpped out. A soon as the new level is fairly under neigh there will be nothing to binder the 20 head at the company's mill, and oven more, being kept going if required.
