Sir Gorge Grey, the Hons. Mr Sheehan and Hoani Nahe leave by the Hinemoa at midnight for Wellington. Mr Sheehan returns shortly to visit the North and the Kingites to veceive their final answer to Sir Gejrge Grey's proposals. . At the Police Court Sullivan, landlord of the Commercial Hotel, was charged with supplying liquor to an iutoxic.ted woman. Case dismissed.

To-day Mr Brodie waited on tae Premier re the distribution of the Gold Duty between the, County and Borough. The Premier requested him to^tsleg.aph after the arrival cf ministers in Wellington, and the matter would rece've early attention. Mr Erodie also represented tae claim of the County Council to fcbe unused portion of the iron of the Thames Water itace, under an agreement between the Thames and Major Aikirison. The Premier requested Mr Brodie to c immunicate with the Government in Wellington.

Chairman Harbor Board end the Premier.

Mr W. Davies, Chairman of the Thames Harbor Boavd, interviewed Sir George Grey re the proposed Harfcor improvements, embracing a wharf ai Te Kopu, extension of Grahamstown. and Shortland wharves, and erection of works for retaining the silt. Mr Daviea informed the Premier that he had seen Sir John Coode, who authorised him to 'state that the plan prepared by the Harbor Board would not in any way clash with a general scheme. Sir George Grey expressed himself favourable to the proposed improvements, and promised to do ell in his power to promote them. Mr Davies also

referred to the delay in handing over the Thames foreshore. Sir George Gi 3y promised to give early attention to the matter after arrival in Wellington.

Sir Gjorge Grey and Mr Sheehan leave in the Hineraoa for Wellington at midnight.
