Pabboa; This day.
A messenger has just arrived from Mackayfcown to report that Mr John Carraicbael, the butcher, died suddenly at 3, few minutes after 1 o'clock. The deceased, who is an old resident on this goldfield, complained lately of occasional pains which, lie attributed to indigestion. In consequence of his death, the Te A rob a which was just on the point of leaving, has been detained. I do not know whether any inquest will be held or not.
Rain just coming on—as usual on the Queen's Birthday.
