Jobn JSTicholls was charged under Byelaw No. 1, Borojghvot Thames, with unlawfully plying a stage carriage betwt an other termini than endorsed on his license—between Parawai and Kerikeri.
Mr B.assey appeared for defendrnt, who pleadrd not guilty. Mr Dean, Town Clerk, put in the Gazelte proclaiming the formation of the Borough of Thames, and ako the Bye-law No. 1, and the Gezette notice concerning it.
Mr Brasaey said that this was the first case, and be wished to have it adjourned. Adjourned till Saturday. A SIMILAR CASE. John ConneH was charged with a similar offence.
