' i GOODS WHABF. The Chairman reported that a number of tie braces at the Goods Wharf were rdtteri, and required attention. * He had also found that some of the timbers wanted clearing of barnacles, and would be better for a coat of tar, which the boatmen would be able to do. They had had some extra work lately in getting soundings in view of Sir John Coode's visit, and when this work was done he thought the men would be entitled to some little consideration, as the work proposed to be done would tendjto preserve the wharf, and it was not nice work. They had. also been pretty well employed
in putting down planks and keeping the wliaif in repair. A small expenditure to strengthen the wharf was authorised, and the chairman was authorised to employ the necessary labor. Tiie Board then adjourned. -
