This day.
At the Magistrate's Court this morning James Woodford, an elderly man and third master of the East Christchurch School, was committed for trial for a criminal assault on a girl ten years of age who attended the school. At the termination of the case the mother of the girl in a very excited state made her way into the court and threatened to kill Woodford*
