PRINCE IMPERIAL.
The quartz is all through the stampers, and the tailings are being ground, ,imt retorting will not take place until*l«te this afternoon. Some 10 or 15 tons of a trial parcel from the Mariner's reef, has been crushed, the show on the plates is better than the stuff from the No. 2 lode, and that is highly satisfactory. At the mine, the manager is continuing.the drive on the Mariner's reef, and a change of country ' has been met with. The lode has been recently split up, one ceetion going into the foot wall, and the other into the hangingwall, but since the country has become., more kindly, they appear to be coming together again. This lode is running a few points out of east and west, and as it is running obliquely towards the No. 2 lode, in time will junction with the latter. At the - bottom level there is no change in respect to any of the workings there to report. .
