NEW ZEALAND INDEPENDENT.
This is the name of a claim recently pegged off at the head of the Moana> tairi by Mr John Goldsworthy and others, who propose forming a company to work the ground. The claim is peg and peg with the Alburnia and New North Chines, and is considered a good spec, as several payable leaders ran through it. The underlie of the Alburnia reef is also that way. Several promoters' shares went off very rapidly at 4JIO a piece, and we may shortly expect to see the company formed. It is proposed to retain a considerable portion of the money obtained for the promoters' shares, to work the ground. The claim within its boundaries contains what was formerly the John o' Groats and Dixon's No. 2.
