OLD SIAM.
Driving on the course of the big lode continues. The country and the reef are pretty hard, which prevents very rapid progress being made. Some of the quartz has a peculiar flinty appearance, but is heavily mineralised with copper, antimony . and other concomitants of gold. The shareholders have sledged a three load parcel, crushing of which has just been commenced at the Kuranui Hill company's mill. I may mention that this parcel is pretty free from mullock, and is expected to go better than the last one, which was taken from a portioiyrf the lode that was much split up with mullock seams, and was also further adulterated, being tipped over a mullocky bank to the paddock below.
