The main tunnel was driven 20 feet daring the four dmjs of last week that the rock drill was going, which follj demonstrated the fact that the country it much changed for the better. At the ISO-feet level, west drive, No. 2 slide has been eat and the lode (No. 9) is making again. There is riofc much fresh to report in connection with the lode between two slides. Though there is the formation of a lode traceable, but little quartz is to be obtained. The manager intends shortly to cross-cut southwards and find oat if there is any quarts in that direction. I am glad to say that there is an improvement in the appearance of west drive 80 feet level. It now shows good colors of gold, and is a fair grade. The slopes throughout the mine are without change lo report. At the company's battery, where 30 head of stamps are employed on company's stuff, the crushing is going a little better than it has this last couple of months. Landers and party crushed some 9 loads of stuff, which was over from their last crushing, and obtained 3oxs 12dwt» gold. Sawyer and party finished their crushing to-day for the yield of 20o« lQdwtf gold. I
