Cobby.—This mine is sending out somo of the richest stone in the district, and during the last few days shares have more than trebled in value, and are still likely to go up. . Everything in the mine indicates its being one of the best on the field. Ground is being worked in all directions around it, and very rich stone lias been taken out from some of them which have been fortunate enough to cut the leader. Tokatba.—;The moment a new mine manager is appointed work in the rniue will be resumed. At present everything is in statit quo. Many other mines are also doing well, and tho place is gradually looking up. The Durham arrived with excursionists at 11.40 a.m. The school children's picnic is promising to be a great success. They are to march in procession, headed by the band of tho H.A.G.B. Society.
