ALMADIN.

This is the name of a claim which has [recently been taken up in the Tararu creek, it being a portion of the old Little Agnes. The shareholders are working at a point at least 100 feet from where the old works are. and during the last day or two have struck a good shot of gold in the main reef. It is an entirely different run to that worked by the old shareholders. The shareholders are breaking out quartz, some of which is estimated to be worth 3 .or 4 ounces per ton. The prospects at the head of Tararu may thus be said to be looking up again, and it is stated one or two other claims will shortly be taken up on the Little Agnes line of reef.
