The Patutahi Block (First Class Bural Lands. Turanganui Surrey District and i Eatutabi Surrey District) lies inland of the town of Gisborne, about fire miles in a westerly direction, and contains agricultural land of the first quality, nearlj all ot which is lerel. A. little bush (raostl/Kabikatea) is found on : some of the sections, whilst those lying near the town and the river are covered with a fine sward of English grass. Hirer forms a fence. - Section 9—Flat, partially grassed, low fern. River forms a fence. Section 10—Flat, partially grassed, low fern. - , Hirer forms a fence. The whole of the Sections in the Tapatoho part of the District are at present carrying m great number of cattle and sheep, the soil being excellent. Section 93—A portion of flat towards river frontage, at present carrying cattle and • sheep, remainder broken, fern and tutu, and scrub', soi. good. i Section 94—Frontage to river flat, at present carrying cattle and sheep, re- | mainder broken, fern and tutu, good soil, river forms a fence. Section 95 —River frontage, flat to a depth of 15 chains, slightly grassed, low fern, back portion broken, fern and tutu, with small bush suitable for firewood, used as a run for sheep and cattle, river forms a fence. Section 96 —But a small portion flat on river frontage, lemaiader broken, fern and tutu, with a small quantity of bush, soil good. Section 97— Broken, high fern and tutu, with a portion ef bush, suitable only for pastoral purposes, soil good. Section 98—Scarcely any flat and generally similar to section 97. Section 99 —Not much flat, generally broken especially ah the back, nigh fern and tutu and bush in gullies, soil good. Section 100—Features similar to section 99, but generally very broken, soil good. ■ Section 101—Features similar to section 99, but generally very broken, soil good. Section 102 —Frontage to Wairoa Road, undulating, the greater portion broken and rising to a considerable elevation, bigh fern and tutu, a great quantity of conglomerate limestone, soil good. Section 103—Similar to section 102 r Section 105—Frontage small, flat, and undulating, low fern, back portion broken, high fern ant) tutu, soil good. Section 106—Similar to 105. Section 108—Broken, ftrn and tutu, small portion of bush, soil good. Section 109—Frontage to road flat and un« : dulating, partially grassed, fair proportion of bush, Kahikatea and Matai, soil very good. Section 110—Similar to section 108. Section 111—Frontage to Wairoa fioad, flat and undulating, remainder broken, soil .. good.. ' ■, .. -.
