NEW NONPAREIL.

There is no work at preienfc being done in this mine, but I am informed that an attempt is about to be made to effect an amalgamation between the mine and the Central Italy Company, which, with the exception of the operations of a few tributers, has been idle for a long time. The majority of the lodea in the Nonpareil ground above the Central Italy adit level being worked out, while the Central Italy possesses a shaft from which they could be worked at a deeper level, are reasons given why an amalgamation should be effected, while the many good blocks available for tributers is held out •a another inducement. A small donkey engine fixed at the adit level would give all the winding power required.
