A public meeting will be held to-night to consider the subject of harbor works' for Timaru, and to 'memorialise Government thereon. Several ratepayers consider the opinion of Sir JohnTCoode should be had, and disagree with the Harbor Board not having his advice whilst here. A private meeting was held on Saturday night, when resolutions to be submitted 1 to-night 1 were drafted.
