(To the Editor of tfao Evening Star.) I Sißj-i—For the information of. the " leading journal," I beg to state that I have no connection, director indirect, with your office.. Some friends were commenting on the more than usually absurd and dreary contents of last Saturday's Advertiser, and one of them said to me, V Why don't you write to the Star and show them up?" and I went straight away and did so. You are quite comet in saying that my expressed opinions are very generally shared by the Thames public. If any of them ate still under the impression that the morning paper gives them value for their money, let them compare any of die other colonial paperrpublished at 2dwith 1 it. I wish a good morning journal could be started, either by means of a company, or otherwise, and having said so much; the Advertiser will conclude I am an interested party:, he would be wrong. I have nothing to do with journalism, nor do I wish to have, and if "Q.0.E." cares to publish his name, I will do so likewise. —I am, Ac, •• B." Thames, April 11. ...
