DBUNJCENNBSS.

Patrick Dehney was charged with being drunk and disorderly this morning. Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 203 and costs, or 48 hours' imprisonment.

ASSAULT.

The same defendant was charged with unlawfully assaulting one John Cartwright. The defendant said he knew nothing about it.

John Cartwright, sworn, deposed—l am a night watchman and was in Owen street this morning. I saw. the defendant at Foss's door, and went over, when the defendant asked mV what the —— I wanted, and pushed me on the breast. H« has insulted me in the street several times. ./'■.'■«

His Worship said it was not a serious offence. Defendant would be fined 10s and costs.
