Work on the Mnckaytown road was resumed this morning by .about 40 natives, under the supervision of Koremeneta, llapata Pokihtt, and To Wikkiwhi. The weather is still ell that could be desired, and it is to be hoped that the work on the Puke-Pacroa road may also be resumed at once, so as to make it passable before the winter season sets in. The County Chairman and party have sent back their horses, and will go down to the Thames per lliroriro. v Messrs Barlow and Jones have arrived with 50 head of cattle consigned from Waikato to the Thntnes. They expect to reach their destination to-morrow.
