A PPLIOATION has been made by XX Join* Kobebt Pkbbt for a license to construct a Water Bace, for mining purposes at Karaka, commencing at a point on the Karaka Creek about 600 yards above the Planet Battery, and terminating at a point about 20 yards below the ¥na Battery. The length! of such Bace is six hundred and twenty yards or thereabouts, and its intended cowrce is along the bank of the Creek. The mean breadth and depth of such Bace is two feet by two feet; it is capable of carrying three sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is three. NOTICE is therefore given that on the sixteenth day of April, 1878, a License will be grarted to the above named John Robert Perry foi* the said Water Bace, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.
