The usual monthly retorting took place to-day, when the return of 295 ounces of gold was obtained, which is a firit-rate average, as some 140 tons of stuff were crushed; Owing to the drought the want of water has been felt, and has prevented the crushing of some DO tons, which otherwise would have gone through the mil.
