OHINBMURI.
(FIIOM OUtt OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Pakhoa, This day, noon.
A great unmber of natives started for Hikurangi yesterday. Previous to their leaving Tukukino requested that the work on the Mackay town road might,. be discontinued until after his return. His request has been agreed to." It is to bo hoped that the Hon. John Bheehan and Sir George Grey may be able to soften his heart while at Hikurangi. If not, we shall look forward to the Native Minister's promised last visit to To Kotnats, when we expect him to break the neck of further opposition to road-making— quietly, if possible; otherwise, vi et armis.
Ibe punt Skate arrived last evening with a full load (17,000 feet) of timber from the Hauraki Saw Mill.
