THIS DAY. (Before H. Goldsmith and A. JYAllom, Eaqs., J's.P.) SAVAGE DOG. Sarah Gordon was charged with being the owner of a dog which did rush at and attack one Clara Haiyey on the 23rd instant. ~ Defendant pleaded not guilty. Constable Kennedy, sworn, deposed— that he had been informed by the little girl (the plaintiff) that the dog of Mrs Gordon had bitten her. He visited the defendant's house with the plaintiff, and he was shown the place where the dog

had bitten the child. There was a mark on her leg.>, Mrs Gordon said that the .dog was a quiet one, but on hearing that it had bitten the child she had had it destroyed. *■■ . Fined Is nud costs.
