KURANUI HILL UNITED.

The works continue as usual without change to report, and the battery having crushed up all the dirt in the paddocks is having a spell. The tributers, Catran and party, who had a trial crushing lately, are breaking out a fresh lot. The leader, which has yielded so prolifically during the last few months, is only a smell stringer two or three inches thick, in good working country. If this country was harder it would not pay to work, from the time taken in getting out a crushing. The tributers intend putting in a cross-cut some dCD feet to prospect their section. There is enough quartz standing to keep them going for a month yet, and they will be ready in a few weeks again.
