District Prize Firing.

' The completion of the first [set of district prizes came off at the Gk>vernment JBange on Saturday. The weather and everything was conducive.to good shooting, and 66 men came; to the butts.; The conditious were:—Banges, 200, 600, and ; 600 yards; 7 shots at each, range; 8 inch bull's eye at 200, second class targets at 600 and 600 yards. The Kavals were allowed two points each. Seaman Fagg, a good old shot, landed the first prise with the fine score of. 68, Newdiek,-of the 'Scottish, being; second; McLeod and Murray were third and fourth respectively with 66 points each. The, Scottish were the most lucky, thej having taken about one-half of the priae money. The following are the scores of the prizewinners:— ■> . , . v
