During the. past week 19 feet .has. been driren in the" main tunnel, and though it is hard it has considerably improved since the previous week. As stated in a previous report the sinking of the Point Russell winze has-been suspended until the'tunnel is under it, when rising and sinking can proceed at the same time. There' have been' no fresh finds' triad© lately and all through the stopes are yielding low grade crushing stun 1. At the battery the crushing is shaping for a return similar to that obtained last ; fortnight. '.-;. .., \ , • Laing and party finished their crushing to-day for the yield of 14ozs 18dwts of gold.
