. (Before W. Frascr, Esq., E.M.) HOBSE AT LAIIOE. Frank Slovens, a youth, was charged with pcrmittiug a horso to wander at large iv Grey street, Shortland, on the llHhinst. Defendant pleaded not guilty. Constable Scott deposed that he had found a horso wandering at largo in Grey street, Parawai. There was no one with it, and he took it in charge, and subsequently defendant camo up and said the horse belonged to him. Defendant said that the horse was in charge of a boy named Wright. Fined 2s 6d and costs. BREACH OF LICENSING ACT. Miches! Mulligan was charged with neglecting to keep a light burning over , the principal door of his licensed house, to wit the Brian Borohoime Hotel, from sunset on the 16th to sunrise on the 17th instant. Defendant pleaded guilty. Fined Is and costs. . . Court adjourned.
