The well-known Empire Hotel baa been purchased by Messrs Gilmer Brothers, of the West Coast, for £7000; also the adjoining freehold, known as Turnbull's old stores, for about £7000. The name purchasers bought the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel a few days ago.
