AUCKLAND.
This day. , A destructive fire occurred at Eden Terrace last night, when Suiter's brewery and two houses were destroyed. The damage is great. Insurances: New Zenland, £13C0; Norwich Union, «876; National, £600. A steam threshing machine was work ing at the Whau, when a man's foot was caught in the hopper by the receiving drum. The leg was amputated above the thigh, but the man expired.
