Thames Rowing Club.
A meeting of the above club was held at the Governor Bowen Hotel last night. Present—Mr W. Goldsworthy in the chair; Mr J. L. Whitford, honorary secretary, and a number of others. The minutes of last meeting wcro read and confirmed, afterwhich the draft rules prepared by tho Committ-o were read orcr and considered seriatum, which, after some discussion wore adopted, together with by-laws for the club. Mr Lawless proposed , that the Com- : roitteo be empowered <o send home for a suitable boat a» soon as they were in funds. Mr McVay seconded, and tho motion was carried. Mr Burton tendered his resignation as a member of Committee, as he: had not time to attend to the duties. Mr Burton's resignation was accepted," and Mr Carrick was elected in his place. This was all the business and the meeting adjourned.
